The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) today demonstrated yet another strong commitment to unity and strategic political engagement as a high-powered delegation of the State Executive Committee paid a courtesy visit to the former Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Jibrilla Bindow, at his residence in Yola.
The delegation, led by the APC State Chairman, Hon. Raymond Chidama, was at the instance of the party’s State Secretary, Comrade Mustapha Ribadu, who described the engagement as timely and necessary in consolidating relationships with distinguished personalities whose experience, influence and political relevance remain vital to the success of the party.
According to Comrade Ribadu, “Senator Bindow is as relevant today as he has always been, and working with him means so much to the party and the state.”
The delegation included the APC State Legal Adviser, State Youth Leader Sedan Clifford, State Organising Secretary Alhaji Sale Shelleng, the Zonal Women Leader from the Northern Zone, as well as several other members of the State EXCO. A number of APC Local Government Chairmen also joined the team in demonstrating the importance attached to the engagement.
The visit is widely seen as more than a routine courtesy call. It reflects the growing effort within the APC to bring together experienced leaders, former office holders, grassroots mobilisers and emerging political actors under one broad platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Senator Bindow, as a former Governor and a prominent political figure in Adamawa, remains a personality whose experience and political network can contribute significantly to the party’s efforts to consolidate its structures across the state.
The warmth surrounding the engagement further underscores the emerging spirit of reconciliation, inclusion and collective purpose within the APC as the party continues to expand its political base.
For Comrade Mustapha Ribadu and the delegation, the message was clear: political victory is built on unity, strategic alliances and the ability to recognise and work with every stakeholder who can contribute to the collective success of the party.
With the APC’s rising profile across Adamawa State, the State Secretary expressed confidence that the party is steadily positioning itself for a formidable showing in 2027, declaring that the signs are increasingly clear that the opposition will face an uphill task in creating meaningful political space against the APC in Adamawa State.
