The recent courtesy visit by the Adamawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Hamza Alhaji Bello Madagali, to former Adamawa State Governor, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, at his Abuja residence represents another important step in strengthening unity, consultation and mutual respect within the APC family.
Accompanied by former Yola South Chairman, Malkoi, and a number of party stakeholders, Hon. Madagali used the occasion to commend the former Governor for his positive disposition towards party unity and his consistent belief that the collective development of Adamawa State must remain above personal interests.
The APC State Chairman emphasized that the strength of the party lies in its ability to accommodate experience, promote continuity in leadership and bring together its stakeholders around a common vision.
“Our party is more important than our selfish interests. We must prioritise leadership continuity and the advancement of one united Adamawa, while drawing from the experience of our former Governor.”
Hon. Madagali also recalled that prior to his personal visit, he had supported an earlier engagement by members of the APC State Executive Committee with Senator Bindow during the former Governor’s visit to Adamawa State. This, he noted, demonstrates the present leadership’s commitment to sustained consultation and an open-door approach to party affairs.
The atmosphere at the Abuja residence was warm, cordial and reassuring. Beyond the courtesy call itself, the meeting reflected a growing understanding that the APC’s strength ahead of future political engagements will depend on unity, inclusion and respect for the contributions of both present and former leaders.
For the APC in Adamawa State, the message remains clear: the party must rise above individual ambitions and place the unity, stability and advancement of Adamawa State at the centre of its political engagements
